Ginger Velez brings a dynamic mix of compassion, organization, and leadership to her role as Client and Caregiver Experience Manager at our Sugar Land location. With over nine years of hands-on caregiving experience, seven years in office operations, and three years in leadership roles, Ginger is a true asset to both our clients and team.

She’s known for her strong time management, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate with clarity and warmth. Ginger thrives in positive, team-driven environments where everyone is focused on delivering high-quality care and support.

When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her staying active, enjoying a little retail therapy, or investing in personal growth. She’s passionate about helping others—and it shows in everything she does.

Oluwatamilore Ayadi (Tami) serves as our Lead Caregiver and Trainer, bringing both compassion and clinical insight to her role. She joined Touching Hearts at Home two years ago while beginning her journey into the nursing field, looking to gain hands-on caregiving experience. Her time with clients quickly became more than just a stepping stone—it sparked a true passion for elder care.

Motivated by that experience, Tami became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and is now pursuing her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), deepening her commitment to high-quality, person-centered care.

At Touching Hearts, Tami plays a vital role in preparing our new caregivers. She ensures they feel confident, capable, and supported—giving families the peace of mind that their loved ones are in caring, well-trained hands.

Outside of work and school, you’ll find Tami enjoying quiet time at home with her two beloved cats. Her heart for caregiving shines in everything she does, and we’re lucky to have her on our team.

With 17 years of experience in the home care industry, Michelle Matcek brings a deep commitment and personal touch to her role as Client Care Coordinator. Known for her compassionate approach and keen eye for detail, Michelle excels at creating strong caregiver-client matches that truly make a difference.

Inspired by her grandparents, Michelle has always enjoyed being around older adults and listening to their life stories. That love for connection is what led her into caregiving—and what continues to fuel her passion today.

For Michelle, the most rewarding part of her work is hearing a client express just how much their caregiver has enhanced their life. Those moments of impact are what remind her why she does what she does.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys reading, watching documentaries, and traveling—always eager to learn and explore something new.

As Manager, Kim Rice brings compassion, leadership, and a deep personal connection to her work each and every day. She oversees the day-to-day operations, providing guidance and support to both clients and caregivers, ensuring every detail reflects the high standard of care and trust Touching Hearts at Home is known for.

Kim’s journey into senior care began from a deeply personal place—navigating care for both her mother and mother-in-law. The experience opened her eyes to how overwhelming the process can be, and just how vital it is to have trustworthy, compassionate support along the way. That insight fuels her mission to be a resource and a steady hand for families facing similar challenges.

What Kim finds most rewarding in her role is building meaningful relationships. She values the moments of connection—getting to know each client and caregiver, creating an environment where people feel seen, supported, and genuinely cared for.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys cheering on her favorite college sports teams, spending quality time with her family, and soaking in the beauty of the outdoors—recharging in nature whenever she can.

As Head Recruiter for Touching Hearts at Home Fort Bend, Shevy plays a vital role in identifying and welcoming compassionate, skilled caregivers who reflect our mission of providing exceptional, heartfelt care. From screening and interviewing to guiding applicants through the hiring process, she ensures every new team member meets the high standards Touching Hearts is known for.

Shevy’s path into healthcare was guided by a lifelong passion for serving others. With a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a deep appreciation for the caregiving profession, stepping into the world of senior care felt like a natural fit—an opportunity to give back, nurture, and make a meaningful impact every day.

One of the most rewarding parts of her role is hearing the diverse stories of applicants. From retired nurses seeking meaningful part-time work to those just beginning their caregiving journey, Shevy finds inspiration in every conversation. Seeing new hires thrive and grow within the Touching Hearts family is what fuels her passion.
