About Us

Legacy of Care

Touching Hearts at Home was founded by Renae Peterson, who began providing professional caregiving services to seniors, older adults, and those in need in 1996. Integrity, empathy, and the belief in the dignity of all people is at the forefront of our work. Today, Touching Hearts at Home has independently owned locations serving individuals and families across the nation.

The Briesath Family

The local Brookfield office was opened in 2007. Keeping with the family values of our founder Renae, the Briesath’s started up their Touching Hearts office with Brandon, the son, and his parents, Scott and Laurie. Together, all three play key roles in the business striving to provide the best care available by hiring the greatest caregivers around!
The Briesath’s experience in customer service began in 1988 when Laurie purchased her first Merry Maids franchise, which later expanded to three total. Several years later, Scott (husband) joined the Merry Maids business, followed by their son Brandon after graduating from college in business. Laurie’s grandmother had lived alone in her home until age 92 and she realized how important senior care services can be in helping our elderly loved ones. The Briesath family decided to join Touching Hearts with its strong ties within the Merry Maids family as well as having the compassion to help others.
