What services do you offer?
Our services are designed to assist with your everyday tasks and are custom tailored to meet your individual needs. We provide care in many ways, including light housekeeping, laundry/linens, meal preparation and planning, grocery shopping, transportation, memory care, companionship, medication reminders, and personal care; including assistance with toileting, grooming, dressing, transferring, and more! We can care for anyone 21 or older.
How do you select your caregivers?
We are committed to choosing compassionate caregivers that we would trust to care for our own family and loved ones. We hire qualified, reliable, honest and kind caregivers who genuinely enjoy helping people. Each potential caregiver must pass a criminal background check and detailed screening process before we even consider them as a candidate. They are also required to complete a detailed orientation on our company policies. Additionally, each caregiver is trained in-depth on the specific care plan of each client they serve. Ongoing evaluation of each caregiver/client relationship ensures a successful match and quality of service.
Are the caregivers bonded and insured?
Yes. All Touching Hearts caregivers are bonded and insured.
Will I have a choice in who comes to my home?
Yes. Our experienced staffing coordinators will make an informed decision regarding a caregiver who has the personality, skills and availability to best help you. If at any time or for any reason you are not completely satisfied with a caregiver we will gladly make the necessary changes.
How does my service begin?
We meet with you personally for a free in-home consultation and design a program together. We step into our client’s world to better understand the challenges they face. Next, we carefully select and introduce a qualified caregiver who will lend a hand to make your life easier. Our goal is to help ensure you see the same friendly face each visit.
What are my funding options?
Currently, we accept private pay, long-term care insurance, and VA Aid & Attendance Benefits. If the client has a Long Term Insurance policy, they can review their policy for Home Care coverage. Most long term policies do cover Home Care. If the client is a Veteran or the surviving spouse of a Veteran, they may be eligible for V.A. Benefits, called Aid & Attendance. This program provides funding to cover Home Care expenses to a prescribed limit. Touching Hearts at Home can assist in the pursuit of this funding.
